The Health Research Authority (HRA)
The Health Research Authority (HRA) protects and promotes the interests of patients and the public in health and social care research.
They work to give more people the opportunity to participate in health and social care research and continue to feel safe when they do.
If a study is led from England and involves the NHS in England, researchers must gain HRA approval.
The HRA wants to make it easier to undertake responsible health research in the NHS in England as part of a UK-wide system.
