Step Into May with Thyroid UK’s “31 Miles in May” Challenge

Looking for a reason to get moving this May? Whether you’re a power walker, a casual stroller, a weekend hiker or someone who just enjoys an excuse for an extra coffee stop, Thyroid UK’s “31 Miles in May” challenge is the perfect way to make every step count.

The idea is simple – complete 31 miles throughout the month of May while raising money and awareness for Thyroid UK. That’s just one mile a day… although nobody’s judging if some days involve more walking and less motivation!

Participants can take on the challenge however they like. Walk the dog, get the family involved, swap the school run for a stroll, enjoy countryside walks with friends or even challenge yourself to a jog or run. Every mile helps support people living with thyroid disease across the UK.

Thyroid conditions can affect so many aspects of daily life, from energy levels and mood to weight, sleep and overall wellbeing. Through information, support and advocacy, Thyroid UK helps thousands of people feel less alone while navigating diagnosis and treatment.

And the best part? You don’t need to be super fit or sporty to take part. This challenge is all about doing what you can, at your own pace, while supporting an important cause.

So grab your trainers, charge your smartwatch, rope in your friends and family, and let’s make May a month of movement, community and support.
