We’ve received confirmation that the Cynomel brand of liothyronine will be discontinued in France as of 31st October 2025. The reason for this decision has not been disclosed.
We wanted to share this information in case anyone is currently accessing Cynomel through a private prescription and may be affected by this change.
France’s National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) has issued a statement reassuring patients that an alternative brand, Thybon 20 Henning, will be imported to ensure continued access to treatment.
